👋 Aloha from DC,
It’s still warm and humid here, but every once in a while you can feel something changing. The air feels a tiny bit lighter especially mornings, and it’s getting me excited for my favorite time of year...
I’m planning to use most of my next Amtrak USA Rail Pass in September and October chasing fall foliage, including a few days aboard a schooner in Maine! If you have recommendations for New York, DC, Boston, Chicago, New Orleans, or Vermont this fall, please let me know.
Speaking of weather, Hawaii has had it rough lately with Hurricane Lala last weekend and the threat of another storm right behind it. If you’re opted in for Hawaii Resident updates, you’ll see ways to help in that section below. (If you’re not and you’d like to know how to assist families directly, please hit reply and I’m happy to send some links your way.)
This week, I’m FINALLY sharing something I’ve been working on for a very long time: the first episode of Passport to Flavor is live on YouTube or in your favorite podcast app! 🥳👉 Don’t forget to subscribe while you’re there and tell a friend too! I’ve only got 34 YouTube subscribers, and I’d really like to change that. 🙏
✨ Until next time,
